Christmas holidays in Hawaii

1
Complete the sentences with the negative forms of the simple past.
Vervollständige die Sätze mit der Verneinungsform des Simple Past.

Ex.: I went to a Christmas party, but I didn't like (not like) it.

1. Last year, we spent Christmas in Hawaii but we (not have) good weather.

2. On the first day, we went to the beach, but we (not go) swimming.

3. We saw the decorated palm trees, but we (not take) many photos.

4. We watched a Christmas show, but we (not meet) Santa Claus.

As you can see, our Christmas holiday in Hawaii wasn't the best. We had to stay inside a lot, and our hotel room wasn't very big. However, there weren't many people at the beach, which was nice.

Du weißt schon: Das Verb 'to be' ist ein besonderes Verb.

Im Simple Past hat die Verneinung von was und were zwei Formen:

was not = wasn't und were not = weren't

Tip:

I, he, she, it

➡️was / wasn't

we, you, they

➡️ were / weren't

Nate: And the St Lucia procession?

Jane: It magical! Many people outside, so the streets empty. Although the procession very long, it fun to watch. But enough about Sweden, how your trip to Hawaii?

Nate: Well, to be honest we that happy. The weather ...
