Give your opinion – The Commonwealth today
The Commonwealth of Nations is a group of 56 countries
that used to be part of the British Empire.
Today, they work together on issues like peace, education, and climate change.
But not everyone agrees on whether the Commonwealth is still important.
For me, the Commonwealth means friendship and teamwork, not just history. Last year, I went to Birmingham with my school to see the Commonwealth Games.
It was amazing to see athletes from so many countries.
The Commonwealth is just a reminder of the British Empire.
Many countries don’t need it anymore.
We should build our own future without the King as our head.
I think the Commonwealth is nice in theory, but I don’t really see how it helps people in everyday life.
Many young people don’t even know what the Commonwealth does.
I think the Commonwealth is a good thing because it helps countries to work together. We can learn from each other and make friends across the world.
I saw a video about children planting trees in different
countries – that was pretty cool!
